Officer Thomas Rabjohn
Charity: 100 Club
Phoenix Police Officer Thomas Rabjohn served on the Phoenix Police department for seven years until he was called to active duty by the Army National Guard and deployed to Afghanistan. While serving his country overseas, Officer Rabjohn was killed while attempting to disable an IED device. This particular fact about the 100 Club is not widely known, but any sworn or certified officer or firefighter employed in the state of Arizona is also covered by the 100 Club if they are called to active duty overseas. So within 24 hours, 100 Club Executive Director, Sharon Knutson-Felix, was delivering a check for $15,000 to the family Officer Rabjohn had left behind, his wife and three daughters. The 100 Club was proud to be able to assist the Rabjohn family and to honor their beloved husband and father as a true hero should be honored, for the ultimate sacrifice that he made. This particular death hit close to home to the 100 Club Executive Director, as her son is currently serving his second round of duty in Iraq. Sharon also spent a lot of time with the family in the days following Rabjohn’s death, providing emotional support above and beyond the 100 Club’s financial support. Recently, Officer Rabjohn’s wife Nikki, sent the 100 Club a card to express her thanks. It read: To the 100 Club, I would like to thank the 100 Club with all of my heart for the very generous donation and to Sharon for presenting me with the check and for the money that was given to my girls. Thank you, Nikki Rabjohn
